Preparation and use
Add 500g scone mix to a bowl fitted with a beater. If making cheese scones add 200g of grated mature cheddar into the mix and combine. Gently add 240ml of water at slow speed and mix for approximately 1 minute. Place onto a floured surface cover and rest for 10 minutes. Roll out to 1.5cm thick, cut into desired shape and place onto a greased lined baking tray, egg wash and rest at room temperature for 20 minutes. Bake at 230ºC, 450ºF, Gas mark 8 for 10 minutes.
