Storage Information
Some Tips on How to Store Your Goods!
At UWeigh we are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality products, and ensuring the longevity and freshness of your dried goods is essential to enjoying every bite.
By following these simple guidelines, you'll maximize the shelf life of your items and minimize the chances of food waste!

Food Rotation
To ensure the freshest experience with your dried goods, practice the principle of "first in, first out." When you're refilling jars, put the new contents at the bottom and the old product back on top.

Airtight Containers
Whilst we love helping you, help the planet, our paper bags aren't the best way to keep your products. Airtight containers prevent moisture, pests, and odours. Mason jars, food-grade plastic containers, and resealable bags are good options for storing various items.

Storing in a Cool Dry Place
We know you've seen it across millions of labels but it does work!
For optimal freshness, store your dried foods in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. This will help prevent moisture absorption and maintain the quality of your products.

Shelf Life
When stored correctly, dried foods can have a pretty good shelf life. Here are some general guidelines:
- Nuts and seeds: Up to 6 months (longer when refrigerated)
- Dried fruits: 6 -12 months (longer when refrigerated)
- Cereals, pasta, rice, flour, and sugar: 6-12 months
- Herbs and spices: 1-3 years for whole spices, 3-6 months for ground spices
- Flours & Cake mixes: 3-6 months
